The Short Heath community gathered to dedicate a new memorial at the local Cenotaph in Lane Head. The ceremony honoured the sacrifices of service members and provided a space for reflection and remembrance.

The dedication event was attended by local dignitaries, including Lord Lieutenant Sir John Crabtree on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, along with veterans and residents, all coming together to pay their respects. The new memorial serves as a poignant reminder of the bravery and commitment of those who have served in the armed forces.

This memorial is dedicated to those in our community who sadly lost their lives post-1945 serving their country.
